Matilda Forsberg is a painter working with fluid layers of vibrant color in acrylic and mixed media. During her Soft Body Acrylic residency with Liquitex, she explored themes of immigration, heritage, and family memory through large-scale reimaginings of archival family photographs. Her work combines historical imagery with contemporary elements, creating paintings that transcend time and location to focus on emotion and personal history.

MUCA

MUCA is a digital artist who uses advanced 3D modeling software to create complex imagery dealing with issues of obfuscation and being seen. Trained as an architect, MUCA worked as an architectural visualization specialist for over 12 years before transitioning to fine art. On April 13, 2021, at age 37, MUCA had open heart surgery due to a genetic heart condition called Loeys-Dietz Syndrome. While recovering, MUCA created the 100 Hearts series—each day creating a different digital heart using manipulated photos as textures mapped to a 3D heart object. This project launched MUCA's art career. MUCA's work is housed under a macro environmental heading called the MUCAMEGAVERSE, a virtual memory palace filled with rooms, hallways, and objects from which 2D art outputs are created.
